Those who know me and have seen my work, know I don’t do bridal portraits very often. But when your fellow friend photographer Ace Fanning hosts a Desert Bridal shoot-out with other local photographers you don’t pass it up!! I love Ace’s work, he has done family sessions for us personally and I just admire him, his crazy personality and his just overall look on life and this industry. As a professional you always need to be growing, learning and stepping outside your comfort zone. And he helped us all do exactly that as well and picked up on some of his crazy photoshoot antics.  We had 2 insanely gorgeous mock bride and groom for us to photograph. Ashley is a fellow photographer herself so she knew how to work the camera and Aaron was just along for the ride! I walked away from the shoot-out learning way more then I thought I ever would. Thank you so much to Ace and Katelyn for hosting, Ashley and Aaron for modeling and all the other photographers that tagged along that day!

I can’t believe my sweet niece Maddie just turned ONE! She is full of so much personality and has such a little spunk about her! She had a rough few months in the hospital when she was born but she is flourishing into a beautiful little girl and I love her soo much!! It’s always a little soft spot in my heart to watch my niece smash into her first cake! She totally dug into it with her hands AND feet! She made me proud!

I was counting the days to get the call from Shannon that baby Cameron was going to arrive!! I blogged Sean & Shannon’s maternity session not so long ago and loved them all I knew this perfect pair would make a perfect little boy! I told Shannon I would treat her to a Frssh 48 session after Cam arrives and she was beyond excited for it! Baby Cam was so alert and wanted to check out all the action while I was there. It totally reminded me of how Ashlyn was in the hospital too. I loved baby Cam’s custom made beanie and swaddle blanket from J&M Custom Designs it looked perfect for them! I am so happy for them and can’t wait to see Cam grow up with this amazing family!

As long as I have been doing photography for a profession, its actually on a rare occasion I get to shoot in the desert. I love the desert. I love the colors, the warmth, the scenery and of course a desert sunset. I was so lucky to photograph such a gorgeous mama-to-be for her maternity session on a perfect evening in the desert. She was stunning and glowing and couldn’t have been more perfect for this shoot! Elizabeth and Scott were such troopers with the heat and even being asked to go knee deep in lake water for some amazing water shots. They are a beautiful couple inside and out and I can’t wait to meet their little boy Noah!!

All say it over and over again, one of my favorites things I love about being a photographer is getting to watch babies grow up and seeing them at all their milestones! Last time I saw Jayce was at his newborn shoot and he was one of the easist babies I have had in a along time! I remember doing his newborn shoot super preggo and being very thankful he was so easy!! Needless to say he is still the chillest baby ever with piercing blue eyes! He is 6 months already and beyond adorable!!
