Newborn Photography in Phoenix | Sweet Baby Girl Quinn

It’s crazy when you photograph a newborn and you have done their older siblings, you can see so much how they look alike! I got to photograph Quinn’s older brother Max a couple years ago and when she came in all I could see is Max!! Quinn is such a precious little girl I loved doing her session. We did her newborn session in my Phoenix studio when she was 7 days old. I usually try and photograph newborns between a window of 6-14 days old. Around a week is my happy place where I tend to get great sleepy happy babies. Quinn’s nursery was a mix of pinks and mints ( which are some of my personal favorite colors !) so I was super excited to incorporate that into her session! Quinn’s mommy also makes the most darling newborn knot caps and I have used many of them for other babies. When it was Quinn’s turn for her session, you bet mommy was going to make her, her own hat! She also brought something else special for her session. Last minute her mom made a headband garnished with flowers from her mom’s wedding bouquet and her bouquet. I never had a client bring something like that and I thought it was so special and so unique! Baby Quinn and mommy will cherish that forever!

Family Photographer in Phoenix | The Lee’s in the Pines

Just by looking at these images you know we aren’t in Phoenix anymore. It’s so easy as a family photographer in Phoenix to get bored and burnt out on the same locations over and over when it comes to family photography. I have always loved to travel and shoot at different locations but having young children makes it hard. The sister in law Connie and brother in law Garrett make the cutest kids!! My nieces and nephew Haiden, Colton and Emmi are the sweetest and there auntie loves them to pieces!!

We were traveling up north to Lake Powell for Connie’s brothers wedding and since we always pass through Flagstaff it was my bright idea to stop on the way and do their family photos in the pines. I had a beautiful location picked out that a fellow photographer told me about called Locket Meadow. I had planned all along to go there for their session. As we are following Google Maps we hit some pretty rough roads, like it was a crazy Indiana Jones ride to say the least! We are in own SUV and poor Connie and them are trekking it in a mini van up some pretty bumpy and nasty roads. We were all pretty worried for our lives haha. Needless to say we were running out of time, daylight and 4 wheel drive so we came to a spot with a pretty clearing and I decided just to stop here for their session and I am so glad we did.

I loved how the trees and scenery photographed with them and their outfits! We forgot how chilly it can get up there so half the time the kids were shivering! It’s always super entertaining to say the least with photographing your own family, but that’s what makes these moments and memories even sweeter!

Family Photographer in Scottsdale | Adoption for baby Brayden!!

I love the story of how the Palmer family became complete with baby Brayden! The past 9 months the Palmer family has been fostering Brayden in hopes of making a full transition into a adoption.  Being a family photographer in Scottsdale, I get to photograph many families but these family just warms my heart. Brayden is without a doubt the smiliest and joyful little boy who just makes you want to smile with him!! Even though Natalie and Shaun aren’t his birth family, God could not have selected a better set of parents for him. They love him to the moon and back and it shows! On October 18th their adoption of baby Brayden become official! They had a big party and celebration all for him joining their family and taking their last name. I couldn’t have been more happy for them and honored when they asked me to shoot their new and their first “official” family photos!

Newborn Photographer in Scottsdale | 7 day old baby Emelie

It was about time I got a baby girl in the studio! 1 week old baby Emelie came to visit me in my Phoenix studio for her newborn session. She was such a sweet little girl! It’s the best thing when your a newborn photographer in Scottsdale is you get to snuggle and work with the most adorable little babies! It means a lot that this family came back to me for Emelie’s newborn session because I was lucky to photograph mom and dad for her maternity session with her son Austin and his 1 year session!  Looking at Emelie’s session you can tell I was very eager to get a baby girl! We broke out lots of pinks, bows and all things girlie for her! Emelie also gave out the best smile! You never know if you are going to be lucky enough to catch a smile with a newborn but I would be lying if I didn’t let out a squeal when I realized I caught her big grin!

Mom also told me ahead of time she wanted some close up shots of all her little details. Marco shots are some of my favorite to do cause you can really get a sense of those tiny little details that you might forget about as they get older and bigger. Big brother Austin wasn’t quite to sure about his sister yet which is totally normal when you have a older sibling that under 2 year old cause they are babies themselves. But Austin did give us some huge smiles and did great for some beautiful family shots! Thank you so much to this beautiful family for allowing me to photograph your family for all your big milestones!

Phoenix Newborn Photography | Welcome to the world Beckham

Little boys are beyond special! Especially when you are having baby boy #3 you know God placed boys in your life to a special reason. As a Phoenix newborn photographer it’s so honoring to get to photograph all these families, even more so when the mom is also a fellow photographer. Beckham’s mom Stephanie, is the artist behind Stephanie Fay Photography. A very well known and amazingly talented wedding photographer here in Phoenix. Her oldest son Henry used to be in the same class as my daughter so it was wonderful to connect with her on a daily basis as we did school drop off and pick up. When she told me she was having baby boy#3 I couldn’t be more excited for them! I knew big brothers Henry and Liam were going to be big protectors for their little brother!

Stephanie brought Beckham in for his session and picked up just very simple neutrals and whites for his session since thats their families style. I loved my new hooded romper from Sew Perfect Props on Beckham, he totally rocked it. We left the rest of the session pretty clean with a touch of some hats and wraps on a clean white backdrop. The boys were awesome when it was their turn with their little brother and you could tell they couldn’t be more proud!
